1 cm3 contains the active ingredient: ceftiofur (in the form of free crystalline ceftiofur acid) 100 mg
Ceftiofur is a III generation cephalosporin antibiotic and has a wide spectrum of antibacterial action, it’s active against gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Trueperella pyogenes, Bacillus spp.) and gram-negative (Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp. , Mannheimia haemolytica, Haemophilus spp., Citrobacter spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, Porphyromonas levii) microorganisms, including β-lactamase producing strains.

The maximum concentration of ceftiofur and its metabolites in the blood is reached in 12 hours and is maintained at a therapeutic level for at least 7 days from the moment of administration of the drug, while the activity of the drug does not decrease in the presence of necrotic tissues.
CEFTIBEL 100 is used in pigs with:

- infectious diseases of the respiratory, gastrointestinal tract, metritis-mastitis-agala syndrome,
- sepsis, peritonitis,
- polyarthritis, polyserositis,
- infected injuries
and other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to ceftiofur.

Before use, the bottle with the drug should be shaken thoroughly until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. If necessary, the drug should be heated in a water bath to the animal's body temperature.
Ceftibel 100 is administered in sows once intramuscularly in the neck area behind the base of the auricle at a dose of 1 cm3/20 kg of animal weight.
Do not inject more than 5 cm3 at one injection place. In some cases, swelling may form at the injection site, which disappears afterwards.
It is forbidden to use the drug in animals with individual sensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics. In animals sensitive to the components of the drug, allergic reactions are possible, which manifest themselves in the form of urticaria and itching of the skin.

When using the drug during pregnancy, the possible risk to the fetus and the potential benefit to the mother's body should be correlated. It is possible to use the drug in animals during lactation.

The drug should not be mixed in the same syringe with other drugs. Do not prescribe the drug in conjunction with antibiotics of the tetracycline group, macrolides, amphenicols and lincosamides, as this leads to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy.

When combined with aminoglycosides and loop diuretics, the risk of nephrotoxicity may increase.
MEAT – 71 days.
