1 cm3 contains the active ingredients: trimethoprim 2g, rifampicin 3g, sulfadimine (in the form of sulfadimine sodium) 10g
Rifampicin is active against gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., including multidrug-resistant strains, Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp.) and some gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Brucella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Haemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa).

Sulfadimine and trimethoprim have a synergetic effect against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp. and other microorganisms, as well as some protozoa such as Eimeria and Toxoplasma gondii.

The drug has a bactericidal effect.

When administered orally, the components of the drug are quickly absorbed into the blood and penetrate into all organs and tissues of the animal.

The maximum bactericidal concentration is noted in the blood 3-4 hours after administration and is maintained for 12 hours.
Rifaprim suspension is used in young cattle, sows, dogs and cats with pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary and respiratory systems, infections of soft tissues and skin caused by pathogens sensitive to the drug.
The drug is administered orally individually or by a group method at a dose of 0.2 cm3/kg of animal weight, 2 times a day for 5-7 days.
The combined use of the drug with sulfur preparations, novocaine and anesthesin is contraindicated.

It is not recommended to prescribe the drug to animals with impaired function of the kidneys, liver and hematopoietic organs.

The safety of the drug in pregnant and lactating dogs and cats has not been studied. Apply with caution.
